CRI is simple chroot installer / rescue disk written entirely in shell. It was created to serve as installer for PLD Linux Distribution but may also be used as installer for any other Linux distro. The only requirement is compressed tar archive with entire system inside (chroot) and initialization script which will preconfigure it for user.

Currently CRI offers installation of following systems:

• PLD Linux Distribution, Titanium Edition for i586, i686 and x86_64 architectures
• PLD Linux Distribution 3.0 (Th) for i686 and x86_64 architectures.

If you wish you may prepare chroots with your favourite distro in as many configuration variants as you want (for example one with KDE, one with Gnome, one with pre-installed mail server etc.) When finished just put your chroots on some web page or FTP server and tell CRI to use that URL instead of official one.
